BACK YARD BOHEMIAN WEDDING |
what we did
The original intention of this shoot was to be a styled engagement session for bride, Jennie, and groom, Zach. The wedding was set for the fall and the couple planned to use these photos for their Save The Dates. That all suddenly changed after the news that Jennie's sweet father had been diagnosed with a rare stage IV cancer. A week before the shoot, we agreed with the bride and groom to additionally hold a wedding ceremony and started rushing to get things together. The morning of was filled with storms, wet grass, and stress, but luckily, it all cleared in time to set up. We brought together our friends and other creatives and the result was something we will never forget.
For the ceremony, mismatched wooden chairs were aligned in a backyard on the edge of a wooded acreage. Various warm-toned fabrics were draped throughout the trees and used as a backdrop, while an antique, wooden table was centered displaying the communion items. Guests were greeted with a hand-lettered chalkboard and the phrase "A Lifetime of Happiness" as they took their seats to witness the vow exchange. The group session was shot in a grassy, unkept field near the ceremony location. A persian area rug was set down, layered with a textured ivory rug and a hand-made, wooden coffee table. Atop the table were a place setting for two, mixed glassware and assorted succulents. Multicolored blankets, stools and pillows were then used for color accents and comfortable seating for the wedding party. Various instruments adorned with fabric were also used to feature the couple's love for music. The entire bohemian shoot captures the true intimacy between the couple, and a community who lovingly stands behind them. who we worked withCassie Loree Photography- Photography
